Weather

Sintra benefits from a unique microclimate, shaped by its hills, forests, and proximity to the Atlantic Ocean. In late August, daytime temperatures typically range between 24–28°C, with gentle ocean breezes keeping the warmth comfortable rather than overwhelming. August is one of the driest months, with approximately 12–13 hours of sunshine per day and very little rainfall.

While mornings may feel slightly more humid, levels drop as the day warms, creating an ideal atmosphere for outdoor celebrations. The surrounding landscape can also bring cooler pockets and the occasional light mist, particularly in the evenings, with temperatures ranging from 17–20°C — perfect for sunset drinks and evenings under the stars.
